“The world needs a sense of worth, and it will achieve it only by it’s people feeling that they are worthwhile.”
– Mr. Rogers –
Are you struggling with your child’s acting out behaviors? Do you want greater joy spending time with your children?
By pairing my professional experience with your knowledge of your child we can work collaboratively to better understand your child.
I provide therapy for children and families to address a wide variety of concerns:
- dealing with “melting down” or “acting out” behaviors
- coping with depression, anxiety, “moodiness,” and fears
- resolving grief and loss
- experiencing a lack of communication
I use a whole person, whole family approach. This may include sessions with the child, as well as coaching and discussion sessions with the parents. Some families benefit from having all family members in sessions.
Utilizing developmentally appropriate techniques, positive behavioral interventions, play therapy and parenting education you will learn creative parenting strategies that:
- build trust and security
- prevent meltdowns and problem behaviors
- set effective limits
- improve communication
- implement routines to promote predictability and structure
Together we can begin the healing process to build positive attachments between you and your child to form a stronger and more joyous family.
